God Is Not Punishing You For Some Sin by Joseph Prince

God Is Not Punishing You For Some Sin by Joseph Prince

Ephesians 1:7
7In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace

Some Christians believe that although you have forgiveness of sins, you are not free from the penalties of your sins. In other words, you can still expect punishment from God. For example, some married Christian couples have been told that they are childless because God is punishing them for having had pre-marital sex. So although God has forgiven them of that sin, He still has to punish them for it.

I am certainly not for pre-marital sex, but I want you to know that God, who is the only one who can fully appreciate the full value of His Son’s blood and who is completely satisfied by His Son’s sacrifice, is at rest in His heart today concerning your sins! That is why He is not against you even when you fail. Neither is He out to punish you when you sin. No, He still loves you, is for you and wants to help you overcome that sin.

In the Old Testament, the blood of bulls and goats could only “cover” sins and not take them away. (Hebrews 10:4) But the blood of Jesus is not like the blood of animals! For by one sacrifice, the eternal blood of the Son of God has forever removed your sins (Psalm 103:12) and cleansed you of all unrighteousness! (1 John 1:9) In fact, God is so satisfied with His Son’s perfect work that He says to you today, “Your sins and lawless deeds I will by no means remember!” (Hebrews 10:17) And if God does not remember them, why would He punish you for them?

Beloved, you have “redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace”. Because Jesus’ work is complete, all your sins have beencompletely forgiven. And complete forgiveness means that the penalties for your sins can no longer fall on you because they had already fallen on Jesus at the cross. (Isaiah 53:5)

So don’t think for one moment that God is punishing you for some sin just because something bad happened to you. Look to the cross and know that all your sins have already been punished fully in the body of Christ. Believe that God is for you and expect victory!

Lord, I Cannot, But You Can!’ by Joseph Prince

Lord, I Cannot, But You Can!’ by Joseph Prince

Philippians 2:13
13for it is God who works in you both to will and to do for His good pleasure.

Have you ever tried to break a bad habit on your own? You probably found that when you tried to stop it by sheer willpower, you saw improvement for a while, and then bounced back to square one. Worse, you found yourself binging on the very thing that you were trying not to do. And your condition is worse than before you started your “I’m going to quit” program!

The changes were temporary because it was you doing it.

A church member who had been a chain-smoker used to believe that with willpower, he could quit smoking. He would tell himself, “If there is a will, there is a way!” But he discovered that with willpower, he could stop smoking for a week or two, and then he would succumb to the pull of nicotine again.

When he turned his life over to God and learnt about God’s grace, he told God, “I realize that I cannot stop smoking. I cannot, but You can break my habit, Lord.” And every time he lit up, he would say, “Lord, I am trying to stop smoking, but I cannot. I am trusting You.” He would even say, “I am still righteous because of Jesus’ blood.”

Well, in the very same year, all his cravings to smoke vanished! When asked how he succeeded, he would say, “It is entirely God and none of me! It is all by His grace.” This man lost all the desire to smoke. That is true transformation.

When you receive the grace of God to do for you what you cannot do, you will experience effortless and permanent change on the inside, which in turn changes your actions on the outside. The Bible tells us that God works in us to give us both the will and ability to perform what He desires. It is God who removes the old want to’s and gives us new ones. And He even gives us the power to carry them out!

Beloved, look to His grace to do what you cannot do. Say, “Lord, I cannot, but You can!” Then, what you experience will not merely be behavior modification, but true and lasting inward transformation!

You Are A Blessing Going Somewhere To Happen by Joseph Prince

You Are A Blessing Going Somewhere To Happen by Joseph Prince

Deuteronomy 28:10
10Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.

Today, we are called by the name of Christ — Christ-ians. Therefore, the blessing of Deuteronomy 28:10, which says, “Then all peoples of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord” is no longer just a promise but reality!

The second part of the verse — “and they shall be afraid of you” — is also true for you. People will respect you. Your boss will favor you and even your competitors will esteem you highly. They know that there is something special about you because good things happen when you are around!

I experienced this blessing when I first started working. I worked in a small third-floor office which constantly smelled of salted fish because there was a salted fish stall on the ground floor. It was in that small, dingy office that I kept on confessing that I was blessed by the Lord, and I experienced divine favor with my clients. My boss could see that there was something different about me.

The company’s business flourished and before long, we moved out of that small office to a building which in the mid-eighties was considered an information technology hub. There, we occupied a couple of offices, and started specializing in computer software and courses. Soon, we occupied the entire floor! That was how much God was prospering us.

God was also blessing me tremendously. I was drawing a very good monthly income, enjoying the favor of my boss and was in his inner circle. A few years later, I decided to go into full-time ministry. When I broke the news to my boss, He cried. I never knew how much I meant to him until then. It was only then that I realized what a blessing I had been to him by the grace of God.

Beloved, because you are also called by the name of the Lord, wherever you go, you are a blessing. His blessing is on you. The people around you will look at you and know that you are a blessing going somewhere to happen!

Jesus Has You Covered by Joseph Prince

Jesus Has You Covered by Joseph Prince

Leviticus 1:4
4Then he shall put his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on his behalf to make atonement for him.

Imagine the perfection of Jesus covering you from head to toe in the sight of God every moment of the day. Does that sound like a dream? My friend, that is your reality today because Jesus became your burnt offering at the cross.

In the case of the burnt offering, when the offerer lays his hand on the animal sacrifice (Leviticus 1:3–4), the perfection and beauty of the unblemished sacrifice is transferred to him, and God sees and accepts him in the perfection of the animal.

In Hebrew, the word “accepted” implies being treated with favor, delight and acceptance. This means that you, for whom Jesus became a burnt offering, are treated by God with favor, delight and acceptance because the beauty and perfection of Jesus have been transferred to you. As your burnt offering, Jesus has made atonement for you on your behalf.

Jesus is your atonement or covering for sin. How precious Jesus is to the Father is how precious you are to the Father because when the Father sees you, He sees Jesus, your atonement, your covering.

So every day, take Jesus as your burnt offering. Come to God and say, “Father, I thank You that Jesus is my burnt offering. He covers me from head to toe with His righteousness. I thank you Father, that You see me without spot or wrinkle. You see me covered in all the value and perfection of the work of Your Son. What He is to You, I am. Who He is to You, I am. As He is now, so am I. I am in Him!” (1 John 4:17)

Jesus has you covered. You don’t appear before the Father with all your faults and shortcomings. Jesus proclaims to you what is right with you in spite of what is wrong with you because He has covered you with His perfection. Today, hear Him telling you, “Go, girl! I have you covered. There is nothing for you to worry about!” Hear Him saying to you, “Go for it, son! I am covering you. There is nothing for you to fear!”

10 Practical Commandments for 2011

Very beauuuuutiful not to share!

10 Practical Commandments for 2011

1.
Prayer is not a “spare wheel” that you pull out when in trouble, but it
is a “steering wheel” that directs the right path throughout.

2.
So a car’s windshield is so large and the rearview mirror is so small?
It’s becauseour past is not as important as our future. So, look ahead and move on.

3.
Friendship is like a book. It takes few seconds to burn, but it takes years to write.

4.
All things in life are temporary. If going well, enjoy them; they will
not last forever. If going wrong, don’t worry, they can’t last long, either.

5.
Old friends are gold! New friends are diamond! If you get a Diamond,
don’t forget the gold! Because to hold a diamond, you always need a base of gold!

6.
Often when we lose hope and think this is the end, God smiles from above
and says, “Relax, sweetheart, it’s just a bend, not the end!

7.
When God solves your problems, you have faith in his abilities.
When God doesn’t solve your problems He has faith in your abilities.

8.
A blind person asked St. Anthony: “Can there be anything worse than
losing eyesight?” He replied: “Yes, losing your vision!”

9.
When you pray for others, God listens to you and blesses them.
And sometimes, when you are safe and happy, remember that someone has prayed for you.

10.
Worrying does not take away tomorrow’s troubles, it takes away today’s peace.

“If you really enjoy the ‘Commandments,’ please pass them to your friends
so as to brighten their day.”

Speak To The Devil

There's a bit of shaking of faith in my life right now.

My partner's dad was rushed to the hospital because he couldn't breathe.

Fears set in. A lot of question marks popping in my mind.
I couldn't focus at work.

Then I told my partner, we speak in tongues.

So we did....

After awhile, I was led to speak this verse..

"No weapons formed against me shall prosper!
In Jesus' name. Amen!"

I kept saying it..then have twit it.

Then I felt like praying to God..

But.

I stopped.

I told myself, " Why will I pray to God??
He is not causing this problem.
I know because He is a good and awesome God..
He doesn't want anything to harm me or make me worry because He loves me so.

I should be talking to the loser...to the devil..like this.

"Devil, as it is written, No weapons you've formed against me and my loved ones shall prosper! So get out and don't come back! In Jesus' mighty name!"

Isaiah 54:17

There you go. He deserves that!

In situations like these, you know worrying won't help!
So, it's better to make your mind work in a spiritual creative way..

Sync your thoughts on Jesus..

A little bit of fear is ok.. It's normal. Because we are not perfect humans.
But be rest-assured that it is just temporary. It shall go away as you speak and declare His words.

Whatever shaky situation you are in right now, let's say it together.

"No weapons formed against me shall prosper. In Jesus' mighty name.Amen!

Halleluyaaaaah!
